RESPONSIBILITIES

Work closely with customers to gain a high understanding of their workflows and business objectives

Identify highest value target areas to apply advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and data mining

Research new predictive models, scoring algorithms, and other analytical methods

Identify and document steps to take action on research results

Communicate findings and insights to customers, users, other engineering teams, and executives

Partner with data engineers to design, implement, and test statistical algorithms into production warehouses and reports

Partner with software developers to design, implement, and test analytically-sound software and user interfaces

QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, MBA with quantitative focus, or equivalent

10+ years statistical analysis and data analytics experience

Proven track record of translating data insights into positive business impact

Expert skills in at least one statistical software package (R, SAS, or similar)

Expert data mining and predictive modeling skills (decision trees, Markov chains, regressions, time series analysis, etc)

Working experience with hypothesis testing and optimization techniques

Working knowledge of SQL, OLAP, and data warehousing techniques

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Working experience with analysis of Big Data (multiple Terabytes) is a major plus

Business Intelligence reporting platform skills are a plus

Experience working with software development teams is a plus

Knowledge of casino operations and slot floor management is a plus
